welcome to Artistic Swimmming!

Cruisers Artistic Swimming combines athleticism, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Swimmers of all levels develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence through synchronized movement, choreography, and music, guided by experienced and dedicated coaches.

Cruisers operates primarily as a summer club, with regional to provincial competitions taking place from May to August. During the summer season, swimmers are grouped based on age, skill level, experience, and commitment, and practices focus on routine development and competition preparation, with training held two or more times per week. From September to April, the club offers a winter maintenance program that emphasizes individual artistic swimming fundamentals and skill development, with practices held 1–2 times per week depending on the group.

Groups: Intro to Artistic, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

Swimmers are grouped based on age, skill level, experience, and commitment. Beginner-level and above groups are eligible to participate in competitions. Throughout the summer season, swimmers train 2–3 times per week, focusing on choreography, routine development, and technical elements, known as figures. As routines require the entire team to learn and perform together with precise timing, regular attendance is strongly encouraged.

Artistic swimming is a team sport, and swimmers who choose to compete are expected to attend the majority of practices, including any mandatory pool times, and to limit extended absences during the summer. For families unable to commit to the competitive schedule, Cruisers also offers a low-stress recreational program, where swimmers learn a routine and showcase it at the year-end Water Show.

Practices begin in May, with an emphasis on fundamental skills and conditioning. Teams are formed in mid-May, primarily based on age and, to a lesser extent, previous experience.
